Wild Geese

Story behind the design : 

The term "Wild Geese" is used in Irish History to refer to Irish soldiers who left to serve in continental European armies in the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries.  Even though the Wild Geese left their native land to serve in foreign armies, they never forgot their Irish Roots. Gaelic began to decline in Ireland, it lived on in the Irish brigades all over Europe with orders, codes, commands spoken in Gaelic and the language of officers was Gaelic as well.
